“Reimagining Safety” Panel

Goddard College hosted a dynamic panel on reimagining community safety and justice without police and prisons. Following a screening of “Reimagining Safety,” Dr. H. “Herukhuti” Sharif Williams moderated a discussion with Matthew Solomon, director of “Reimagining Safety,” Dr. Randall Harp of UVM’s Burlington Community Justice Center, Jayna Ahsaf of the National Council for Incarcerated and Formerly Incarcerated Women and Girls, FreeHer, and James Duff Lyall, Director of ACLU-VT. The panelists engaged in a thoughtful dialogue on reforming and reimagining policing and incarceration in Vermont through community-based solutions.
