Academic Affairs encompasses services to faculty, staff, academic administrators, and councils; all of who share a commitment to bring Goddard’s unique learning experience to students.
The mission of the Academic Affairs Office is to support faculty and staff in actualizing and maintaining a high quality learning experience for Goddard students as their programs engage the College’s mission and strategic goals. The Academic Affairs office is responsible for the College’s academic policies and procedures, institutional accreditation and accountability, program reviews, academic personnel (evaluations, appointments, and reappointments), processes for assessments and student learning outcomes, supporting new academic initiatives, curricular development, College IRB, and special academic projects; residency planning and publication of schedules, student academic resources, and development and publication of the academic calendar.
The Academic Affairs Office collaborates with the Registrar’s Office, the Library to promote information literacy and WGDR community radio station to engage the local high school students in a new dual enrollment program.
The Chief Academic Officer and Dean is a core participant in the College’s budget development and strategic planning. The CAO/Dean collaborates closely with Program Directors and Faculty Council in a broad array of academic policy and strategic planning issues.
