BASIC FUNCTION
To ensure the implementation of and proper use and functionality of all data management systems used by the college’s departments. To develop and produce a variety of reports using multiple data sources.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installing, implementing and maintaining data collection software
- Implement new data management systems
- Update existing data management systems
- Liaise with data management system venders to ensure proper integrations between data management systems
- Troubleshooting information storage issues
- Build and run reports for various college departments
- Manage implementation of new Learning Management System and Student Information System and system integration, partnering other departments; thereafter serve as an Administrator of the LMS
- Lead and manage college-wide communication and change management for digital learning environment and technology innovation initiatives
- Onboard new faculty and staff (as needed) to the LMS, SIS and Vector employee LMS
- Assist the IT Support Specialist with tech support tickets as needed
- Assist students and faculty with technical issues during college residencies
- Position will be based in Plainfield, Vermont, and will be required to travel to additional residency sites
- Weekend and evening work will be required during residency season
- Other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in information management, data analytics, computer science, or a similar field
- 3+ years’ experience as a data specialist
- Experience with user experience design
- Ability to read, interpret, and verify data from multiple formats
- In-depth knowledge of data retrieval and storage systems
- Ability to work independently on projects
- Knowledge of computer hardware systems and peripherals
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with end-user training and support
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in a higher education environment
- Experience with diverse communities
- Experience with any of the following: Canvas, Anthology, Netsuite, ADP WorkforceNow
- Ability to communicate in languages other than English
