  • S.E.E.D. Award for Education Students

The Sustaining Educational Equity and Diversity (S.E.E.D.) Award:

Goddard College understands that pursuit of equity and excellence in education is related to the creation of and sustenance to pluralistic, inclusive, and multicultural learning communities. It is particularly important that those who are current and future educators are themselves part of a diverse learning community. The S.E.E.D. grant’s purpose is to support and sustain diversity by specifically encouraging and supporting people of color to become a part of the Education Program.

Grants will be offered to selected individuals who enhance the program’s diversity, and for whom access to higher education has institutional and financial barriers, particularly those who are the first generation in their family to attend college.

To apply, submit a one-page essay or a two-to-three minute video introducing yourself and discussing how their presence contributes to the Goddard College Education Program. Applicants will be chosen on the strength of the essay or video and their financial need. A financial aid counselor and the program director (or designated faculty reviewers) will review applications and select recipients. The Financial Aid Office will notify students.

DEADLINE: July 3rd for Fall semester; January 8th for Spring semester Vermont students and September 12th for Fall semester; March 13th for Spring semester Seattle students.
