Help Desk Staff

Part Time / Residency

Goddard College has position openings (2) for part time help desk staff during the bi-annual residency seasons.  These exciting positions are based in a fast paced working environment that helps students, faculty, and staff with housing, Audio Visual (AV) needs, and staffing the campus store.  Detailed responsibilities include helping with AV set up in campus meeting spaces.  Familiarity with computers, LCD projectors, conference phones, and sound equipment are a plus.  Additionally, one must respond professionally to urgent student/faulty problems brought to the Help Desk and refer them to other staff and departments, as necessary.  Duties involve processing campus store orders and operating the cash register, as well as checking students/faculty in and out of their housing dorms, checking equipment/supplies in and out of the Help Desk, and other duties, as assigned.

Goddard College has openings for the early AM to early PM shift, and the early PM to mid-evening shift.  Work includes about 45 hours every two weeks; work is 9 days on and 4 days off, during the residency schedule.  The residency schedule is as follows:  a little over three full months in the summer (last week of June, July, August, and September) and three months in the winter (January, February, and March).  Ideal candidates will be friendly, energetic, tech-savvy, and able to ensure that all Help Desk customers are treated with professionalism and courtesy.  Successful applicants will be 100% available to work to schedule listed above.

Qualifications:  Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, tech-savvy, energetic, experience working in busy office settings, an ability to stand/sit for long periods of time, and an ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.

Pay Rate:  $15.00 per hour
