Chief Finance and Administration Officer

Leesa Stewart has grown and developed mission driven organizations for over twenty-years. The projects Leesa has been involved in include the merger of the national organizations Sane and the Nuclear Weapons Freeze Campaign (now Peace-Action); the facility expansion and BA accreditation process of the former Woodbury College in Montpelier, Vermont and the merger of the New England Culinary Institute and the Virginia Marti College of Art and Design. As Director of Finance and Administration at the Vermont Public Interest Research Group, Leesa developed foundational systems that enabled the organization’s growth and facilitated the successful passage of environmental legislation. As Municipal Manager of the Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District, Leesa led this union municipality through a process of financial recovery and programmatic growth, while hiring a talented team to expand educational activities and environmental services to nineteen member towns. Leesa holds a BA in Public Administration from Southern New Hampshire University, a professional certificate in Human Resources Management from Champlain College and a MS in Human Resources Management from Southern New Hampshire University.
