Dustin Byerly (BA RUP ’01) earned Bachelor of Arts with a focus in creative writing from Goddard’s residential undergraduate program in 2001. After working as a carpenter and chef, he returned to the College in 2006 as a staff member. In the years that followed he worked in many departments, including the Kitchen, Help Desk, Mailroom, IT, Business Office, Library, Art Gallery, Archives, and Advancement. He served as the staff trustee from 2011-2014. In 2013, Dustin, with the support of archivist David Halé, curated “People and Places of Goddard: 150 Years of Shared History,” the most comprehensive visual historical research project undertaken by Goddard College. Dustin is also a member of Boomslang, a Montpelier-based hip-hop group, which is part of the Golden Dome Musician’s Collective. Boomslang released its first album on State and Main Records Label in November 2014.
