    BOOKS

    Loan Period:

    • Semester loan period
    • withdrawn students must return items immediately.

    Item Limit/Checkout Limit:

    • 15 items of this type / 15 in total

    Requests:

    • yes – during semester only, unavailable between semesters or during residency for your program.

    Renewal:

    • None, but items may be renewed for students who are on extension, registered for between-semester study, or entering a final semester AND holds have not been placed on items by other patrons)

    Daily Overdue Fines

    • none but subject to replacement and processing fees in cases of loss or damage, or when 28 days late

    Replacement + Processing:

    • Replacement fee: $40 each or actual cost (whichever is greater), refundable if returned within 1 year
    • Processing fee: $20 each, nonrefundable

    • Print (1943-2012) – in library use only – copies may be available with author permission plus applicable fees.
    • Digital (2012-present) – not applicable – online access with Goddard username/password.

    EBOOKS VIA EBSCO

    Loan Period:

    • 7 day download or view online – items can be downloaded or viewed by one user at a time.

    Item Limit/Checkout Limit:

    • 10 at a time – does not count toward regular checkout limits for physical items. Items can NOT be returned early to check out more.

    EREADERS / TABLETS

    Loan Period + Limits:

    • Students may check out 1 device at a time.
    • Priority given to students with device in their accommodation plan from Accessibility Support Specialist.
      • With Signed Accommodation: until end of semester
      • Without Signed Accommodation: 4 weeks
    • Extension or leave of absence students must return items by original due date.
    • Program change students must contact us to see if date change is possible.
    • Withdrawn students must return items immediately.

    Requests:

    • Yes – send requests to library@goddard.edu. First come, first served during semester only, unavailable between semesters.
    • Shipping within continental US only.

    Renewal:

    • Once – items may be renewed only if holds have not been placed on items by other users.

    Recall:

    • If item has already been renewed – we reserve the right to recall it for another user if requested.

    Returns:

    • Do not put devices in book drop – return in person to library or ship at your expense with insurance.
    • Condition of all pieces will be assessed – you will be notified of malfunction or missing parts.

    Daily Overdue Fines + Suspension

    • $2.50 per day – capped at $50.00- nonrefundable. Subject to replacement and processing fees in cases of loss or damage. Considered lost when 28 days late. Fees rolled into replacement cost if lost.
    • If overdue, Library privileges will be suspended until all items have been returned.

    Replacement + Processing:

    • Replacement fee for lost or damaged items – $215.00 total, nonrefundable
      • eReader/Tablet: $150.00
      • Protective Cover: $20.00
      • USB Cable: $25.00
      • Adapter: $10.00
      • Carrying Case: $10.00
    • Processing fee: $20.00 for the whole kit or individual lost pieces as needed, nonrefundable

    MUSEUM & PARKS PASSES

    Loan Period:

    • 2 days. For local loan only.
