Goddard Art Gallery is pleased to host an exhibit of Bread & Puppet Peter Schumann’s woodcuts, Possibilitarian Uprising: Post-Apocalypse for ¾ Empire, from June 22 through September 27. This is a large exhibition of woodcuts on cloth banners, inspired by Albrecht Durer’s (1471-1528) engravings depicting the Apocalypse as envisioned in the Book of Revelations. For questions, email

Art & Uprising is a panel discussion on radical politics and creative practice, featuring Syrus Marcus Ware, a Toronto-based activist, organizer, and artist, H. 'Herukhuti' Sharif Williams, a Brooklyn-based filmmaker, playwright, and educator and Clare Dolan, a Vermont-based puppeteer, performer, and curator. This diverse group of scholar-artists will speak about their own work, the aesthetics and ethics of socially engaged art, and the potential of the arts to catalyze meaningful social change.
