Movement Map Installation
July 14 @ 6:30 pm - July 16 @ 8:00 pm EDT
This art exhibit is a culmination of a master’s study entitled “Uncovering the Role of Movement in the Creative Process: A Journey in Self-Expression.” The Movement Map installation is a three-dimensional map intended to depict movement in a variety of ways. The gallery space will be arranged so that different areas of the room represent different periods of movement in the artist’s life, which are then illustrated on the map key in their different forms. In addition, the nature of an installation is that the viewer has to move through it, and in this exhibit, most of the pieces themselves will have elements of physical movement. This installation was originally exhibited in January 2018 at the Institut National Supérieur des Arts et de l’Action Culturelle, Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa.
The Movement Map installation is in the Haybarn Gallery, next to the Haybarn Theatre.
