“Ceremonial Activism” with Cease Wyss and Patrisse Cullors

March 20 @ 8:00 am - March 24 @ 5:00 pm EDT | Free

We invite local activists and citizens to come participate in some of the free activities of “ceremonial activism” devised and created by our guest artists Cease Wyss and Patrisse Cullors.

Drawing on their leadership roles in Idle No More and Black Lives Matter, Wyss and Cullors will lead us in a week of ceremony, healing ourselves and the collective whole. It was through ceremony that Wyss’ community saved a rainforest; it was by normalizing ceremony that current movements No DAPL and Black Lives Matter draw strength. We may walk on the land together and gather plants for a “Reciproci-tea Party;” paddle the water for a spirit bath; bring water, make altars, call on our ancestors, call on Orishia.

Join us for a week of “ceremonial activism” and nourishment, in apprenticeship for the (spiritual) warriorship needed for these turbulent times.

For more info or to voice interest in attending or participating, please email mfaianews@goddard.edu with subject line: “ceremonial activism.”
