Goddard congratulates the new graduates of its Undergraduate Program

PLAINFIELD, Vt. — Six new graduates will earn the Bachelor of Arts degree from Goddard College Undergraduate Program at Commencement Exercises at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 21, in the Haybarn Theatre.
During the ceremony, Goddard President Robert Kenny will posthumously present Priscilla Ruth Davis Backman with the Presidential Award for Activism.
Graduates earning Bachelor of Arts degrees complete self-designed studies culminating in the production of a senior thesis or project, as well as a public presentation on their work. Graduate presentations are scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday, August 20, and the morning of Sunday, August 21. The public is welcome.

Goddard Commencement

Goddard holds 10 graduation ceremonies each semester for students completing their studies in it’s low-residency programs in Vermont and Washington. The College will award 116 degrees this fall. All Goddard students complete a thesis and deliver a presentation or reading of their work. At commencement, students are recognized individually by faculty advisors who supervised their final semester’s work.
