Beth Nixon (MFAIA ’09) is touring her new “suitcase theater” show, Lava Fossil, this year, including the Boston Center for the Arts, July 25-26, 2014, at Providence Fringe Festival, and in November at Philadelphia’s First Person Arts Festival. Beth also received funding from Pop Up Providence’s tactical urban program for a community arts project with teenagers this summer, culminating in a performance August 9, 2014, at the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park in Providence, RI.
Heather Bryce (MFAIA ’14) and her dance company performed a flash mob in collaboration with the local community in June at the Farmers’ Market in Montpelier, VT.  Here’s the YouTube video:
David I. L. Poole (MFAIA ’12) has won Best Director of 2014 in “Connect Savannah Best Of” Readers poll and also Best Local Theatre Production for his production of Equus by Peter Schaffer. David was also selected for the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Fellowship Summer Institute at Grambling State University: Exploring the Margins–Enhancing the teaching of Ancient Greek Drama at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.


Andrea Parkins gave a talk at Wave Hill in June, along with Michael J. Schumacher, as part of the “With Hidden Noise” exhibition, curated by Stephen Vitiello and organized by ICI: featuring works by Andrea Parkins, Michael J. Schumacher, Taylor Deupree, Pauline Oliveros, Steve Peters, Jennie C. Jones, Steve Roden and Stephen Vitiello.
Devora Neumark and alumna Jennifer Van de Pol (MFAIA ’13) co-facilitated a workshop at the Association for Environmental Studies and Sciences 2014 Conference, “Welcome to the Anthropocene: From Global Challenge to Planetary Stewardship,” held at Pace University in NYC. Their workshop, called “Experience Valuing Machine: Ecology, Art and the Practice of Presence” extended the collaboration they began at Goddard.

The Board of Directors for Goddard College have made the difficult decision to close the college at the end of the 2024 Spring term.  


Current Goddard students will have the opportunity to complete their degrees at the same tuition rate through a teach-out with like-minded institution, Prescott College. Updates and scholarship funds will be available in the coming weeks and months. Information will be posted to
