Deborah Brevoort’s plays, The Women of Lockerbie and The Comfort Team were published by No Passport Press.  Also, her play, The Velvet Weapon will receive a staged workshop in the Launch Pad program at UC Santa Barbara and a public reading in July followed by a Q & A with the author.
Rebecca Brown read new work at the Photo Center Northwest near Seattle University as part of the “Process” exhibit.  And her story, “The One He Left Behind,” about when Hemingway lost a manuscript on a train, has been accepted for publication (translated into Japanese) in MONKEY.
Jan Clausen’s new book of poems, Veiled Spill is available for pre-order from GenPop Books.
Kenny Fries posted on Creative Capital’s blog, “A Creative Capital Gathering in Berlin:  Discussing Gender, Disability and Human Rights in Germany,” a talk between Kenny and artist Quintan Ana Wikswo about the gathering they held in Berlin last fall.  He also received a professional development travel grant from the Canada Council of the Arts to meet with writers and editors involved in disability publications in Berlin and Bonn, and to attend the No Limits Festival in Berlin, Germany.
Bea Gates read with Joan Larkin at The Bookstore in Lenox, Massachusetts and with Peter Harris and Lee Sharkey at Blue Hill Public Library.  Her new book of poems is Dos.
Michael Klein’s poem “Other Horses” was accepted for publication by POETRY magazine.
Aimee Liu’s conversation with Amy Tan for Live Talks LA is now viewable in its entirety on YouTube.
Douglas A. Martin gave a reading as part of the book launch for the recently translated journals of Herve Guibert, at the New York opening of an exhibit of his photography.
Rogelio Martinez gave an interview about the reading of his new play, Born in East Berlin.
John McManus sold his new short story collection, Fox Tooth Heart, to Sarabande Books for publication in November 2015.
Rachel Pollack participated in “Trans/Genre” a conference on transgendered writing at the U. of Winnipeg, where she gave a 90-minute keynote address and received a standing ovation.  Of course, she did it what she now calls Goddard-style, without a prepared text.
Reiko Rizzuto appeared in The Hedgebrook documentary, for PBS.
Paul Selig spoke and signed copies of The Book of Knowing and Worth at San Diego’s Controversial Books.  Also, the French rights to his book, The Book of Knowing and Worth were sold to Editions Ariane.  Also, his recent interview with Fox News Latino is now available online. His book, The Book of Knowing and Worth is a recipient of the 2014 Nautilus Award, which represents “Better Books for a Better World” – the Silver Award in the category of Religion/Spirituality: Other Traditions.  Finally, he was interviewed by faculty member Micheline Marcom in the current issue of Spirituality and Health Magazine.

Brenda Beardsley was accepted to attend the Colrain Poetry Manuscript Conference this summer in Wilmington, Vermont.
Sarah Cedeno’s (MFAW ’14) piece “A Moon Story” was accepted for publication at Hippocampus Magazine. Also, her story, “You Hear Night Sounds” was accepted for publication in The Rumpus.
Cara Hoffman’s (MFAW ’09) new book was reviewed in The New York Times.
Sarah Kishpaugh’s (MFAW ’14) story, “How To Break Up With A Brain Injured Soldier” was given an Honorable Mention for Glimmer Train‘s 2014 Short Story Award for New Writers.
Lisa Melilli (MFAW ‘13) gave a reading of “The Sotah,” an excerpt from a novel in progress, at Drisha Institute, NYC, as the culmination of her 12-month arts fellowship.
Thomas Park’s (MFAW ’14) poem “Porches” was selected for publication in “The Southern Poetry Anthology Volume VII: North Carolina” (Texas Review Press, Fall 2014).
Nicole Saunders had a short story accepted for publication by Blackbird, the online lit journal published by Virginia Commonwealth University and New Virginia Review.
Lucy Snyder’s story, “The Abomination of Fensmere” will be in their forthcoming anthology Shadows Over Main Street.
Thomas Walsh had a group of stories published on a literary website.
