Faculty:
MFAW-VT faculty member Kenny Fries‘s In the Gardens of Japan, a poem sequence, has been published by Garden Oak Press.  The poems are a companion to In the Province of the Gods,  which will be published by University of Wisconsin Press in September.
Alumni and students:
MFAW-VT alumna Laurel Radzieski‘s first poetry collection, Red Mother, will be published by NYQ Books in 2018.
MFAW-WA alumna Simone John‘s Testify, her first full-length book of poems, was published by Octopus Books.  The book launch will be on August 11 at Porter Square Books in Cambridge, MA.
MFAW student Alana Jamison‘s short short story “What I Lost” will be published in Issue 10.1 of Flash Magazine
MFAW-VT Alumna Cheryl Heller has been awarded a Fellowship at the Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center Program.
MFAW-VT student Ni’ja Whitson has been appointed Assistant Professor at the University of California at Riverside.  Ni’ja will be teaching composition and performance theory in the graduate and undergraduate experimental choreography program​.  Ni’Ja will also be a Hedgebrook Artist in Residence for September-October.
MFAW-VT alumna Sarah Cedeño will have her essay  “Aftermath” in the annual print issue of The Baltimore Review, a poem, “World’s Tiniest Earthquake Destroys Just One House!” in The Pinch, and an essay, “On Small,” forthcoming from Under the Gum Tree.
