Port Townsend MFA faculty member Darrah Cloud’s play for young people, JOAN THE GIRL OF ARC, will be published in the March issue of Dramatics Magazine.
Darrah is also producing the 6th Annual 10-Minute Play Festival for Half Moon Theatre which goes up March 11-13 at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Her play, NO MEANS YES, will be one of the featured works in the show entitled  The Tasting Menu. Each play in the series is centered around a dish which the CIA will, in turn, feature for tasting at a reception afterwards.
On February 4 in Amsterdam, Vermont MFA faculty member Kenny Fries will be guest speaker at “Who’s Afraid of Disability?” organized by Disability Studies in Nederland and the Netherlands Institute for Cultural Analysis.
Port Townsend MFA faculty member Victoria Nelson‘s essay “Wendigos,” exploring some appearances in life and art of the Native American spirit made famous in the writer Algernon Blackwood’s seminal story, appears in horror director Larry Fessenden’s collection Sudden Storm: A Wendigo Reader, from Fiddleblack Press. Vermont MFA alumna Kita Mehaffy‘s thesis play Blowing the Arrows was selected as a semi-finalist (still in the running for finalist) for the O’Neill 2016 National Playwrights Conference. This week she was also notified that a short play of hers will be produced on the outskirts of Chicago  and one of her short stories has won the Ingrid Reti Literary Award.
Vermont MFA student Lucy Snyder‘s short story collection While the Black Stars Burn has been nominated for a Bram Stoker Award!

The Board of Directors for Goddard College have made the difficult decision to close the college at the end of the 2024 Spring term.  


Current Goddard students will have the opportunity to complete their degrees at the same tuition rate through a teach-out with like-minded institution, Prescott College. Updates and scholarship funds will be available in the coming weeks and months. Information will be posted to www.goddard.edu
