We’re very happy to share below a note from Elena Georgiou, inviting everyone from the CWC alumni community to attend a Bon Voyage Garden Party to commemorate the retirements of Paul Selig, Nicola Morris, Rachel Pollack, and Jane Wohl, on Sunday evening, June 26.  We’re not able to begin the CWC&R a day early to provide dorm rooms on Sunday night–the dorm we’re assigned can’t be readied until Monday–but anyone who lives locally or would like to arrive to a hotel on Sunday night is very warmly invited to attend.  (And if you plan to travel to Plainfield for the Sunday night party, do consider registering for the Clockhouse Writers’ Conference & Retreat--there are still a few places available.)
Thank you for the invitation, Elena.  And on behalf of the CWC alumni community, all good wishes and many years of thanks to Paul, Nicola, Rachel, and Jane!

Dear Extended MFAW Community,

I wanted to give you all a heads-up about a special Vermont residency occasion: On Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 7pm—after graduation—we will be holding a Bon Voyage Garden Party for a number of our community elders.

As most of you already know, Paul Selig resigned after 22 years in the MFAW program, with 18 of those years as Director. (Luckily, he has already returned to us as a member of our Board of Trustees.)

At the end of this Vermont semester, two beloved faculty members also announced their retirements—Jane Wohl is retiring after 22 years with the program, and Nicola Morris is retiring after 39 years with the College. Since we are celebrating retirements, we have also invited Rachel Pollack—who retired a little over a year ago, after 13 years—to be one of the special guests at the Bon Voyage Garden Party.

Everyone who would like to thank Paul, Nicky, Jane, and Rachel for their years of service is invited.

Warmly,
Elena

Important Announcement

The Board of Directors for Goddard College have made the difficult decision to close the college at the end of the 2024 Spring term.

Current Goddard students will have the opportunity to complete their degrees at the same tuition rate through a teach-out with like-minded institution, Prescott College. Updates and scholarship funds will be available in the coming weeks and months. Information will be posted to www.goddard.edu
