Goddard College at AWP 2015

Goddard College is once again a proud sponsor of this important event for  for writers, teachers, students, editors, and publishers.  As many of you know, and as the AWP website details with highlights from AWP 2015, this annual event brings the writing community together “for four days of insightful dialogue, networking, and unrivaled access to the organizations and opinion-makers that matter most in contemporary literature. The 2015 conference featured over 2,000 presenters and 550 readings, panels, and craft lectures. The bookfair hosted over 800 presses, journals, and literary organizations from around the world. AWP is now the largest literary conference in North America.”
AWP 2016 will run at the JW Mariot Hotel, 900 West Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles, CA, from March 30 @ 12:00 pmApril 2 @ 10:00 pm EDT .  Goddard College will have a booth there, where copies of CLOCKHOUSE will be available and where some of the MFAW faculty will be on hand to chat.  AWP attendees can also look forward to hearing several of the MFAW faculty– Micheline Marcom, Michael Klein, Aimee Liu, and John McManus–as presenters on various panels this year.
To start all of this off, Goddard College is once again hosting an Alumni and Faculty Reception for both the MFAW and BFAW programs in the JW Mariott Hotel’s Diamond Salon 8, Thursday, March 31st, 6:30-8:00 pm.  No reservations are need to attend this reception, but you do need to be registered for the AWP 2016 itself.  And to that point:  As an AWP 2016 sponsor, Goddard College receives a number of admission-fee waivers, and Gariot Louima–a writer and editor himself as well as Goddard’s Dean of Enrollment and External Affairs–is making several available to MFAW and BFAW alumni.  To request one of these waivers, please apply to Gariot using this link.
Wishing a wonderful time to all who attend,
