New essays and interviews from Douglas A. Martin

Douglas A. Martin did a conversation with Darcey Steinke for The Believer.  An essay on his poetics (addressing the issue of the avant-garde and the issue of accessibility, by way of a provocation by Marjorie Perloff) appears alongside many others in the newest and special issue of Evening Will Come, at the Volta. He was also interviewed at Essay Daily, talking his work in terms of genre crossing and formulations of queer and inaugurating a new series.  As part of a three-day symposium on the work of Alice Notley held at the Bay Area Public School, a space for collaborative learning, Douglas gave a talk entitled, “Not Not Notley’s Art,” on the poet and her influence.
