I have returned to Goddard for fall residency and am immediately inspired. Students have shared their work at our Psychology and Counseling Expressive Arts Opening and the principles of Expressive Arts Therapy are embodied by the works created as well as by the creators.
Students have engaged with varied mediums including clay, photography, written narrative, collage, sculpture, painting, drawing, mixed media, theatrical readings, music, and poetry. We are definitely expressing ourselves in multimodal ways. Again, the container created by the community supported the sharing of the artists’ reflections on the works they made and the performance pieces we experienced.
Here are a few images of the gallery, Psychology and Counseling students, faculty, and friends. The next blogs will include the works of individual students.
