This Labor Day, Goddard College celebrates the accomplishments of the American labor movement and honors the contributions of workers across the country. For over 130 years, Labor Day has recognized the social and economic achievements of workers and served as a reminder of the important role labor unions played in establishing many of the rights and protections we enjoy today. At Goddard, we understand the value of hard work and determination. Our adult students juggle school, jobs, and families as they pursue their degrees, charting their own educational paths through individualized study. This Labor Day, we applaud their efforts and those of workers nationwide who keep our country moving forward each day through their collective skill, grit and perseverance. Labor Day highlights the fruits of hard work and reminds us to be grateful for the labor of others.
