Academic Regalia and Goddard College School Colors

While academic regalia is not a required part of the Goddard College Commencement ceremony many Goddard graduates are required by their employers to wear academic regalia. The original colors of the Goddard Seminary were grey and maroon. These colors continued to be Goddard College’s colors after its incorporation in 1938 and its move to its current Plainfield campus. Grey and maroon were used well into the 50s and 60s. Goddard College continues to honor these colors and the alumni who wish to wear them or who have purchased regalia in these hues.

In the early 2000’s, Goddard College colors changed to blue and white to signal a new chapter in its history. If graduates desire to rent regalia for commencement, the appropriate colors are Goddard blue (Pantone 648 U) and white.
