Additionally, the new partnership provides currently enrolled Goddard students with opportunities to study a second language through EF’s Language Study Abroad programs.

EF University Pathway Programs

Students who have completed the UP Program at EF are guaranteed admission into Goddard’s BA in Individualized Studies Program (IBA). Inspired by Goddard’s progressive traditions, the IBA program emphasizes personal and social transformation born of thoughtful action, positive self-development, and wide knowledge. We encourage students to pursue areas of interest that shape and enrich life, and contribute to the global community and the Earth. Because we believe that you know best what you need to learn, faculty will work collaboratively with you to identify the areas of study that you will explore throughout studies. And, since knowledge of the world and personal awareness go hand in hand, we help students at all levels to undertake a holistic, multidisciplinary approach in your studies.

Goddard’s low-residency semester format comprises an intensive 8-day residency on campus, and 16 weeks of independent work and self-reflection in close collaboration with a faculty advisor. The college pioneered this format nearly a half century ago particularly to meet the needs of adult students with professional, family, and other obligations seeking learning experiences with relevance in real-world circumstances.

Prospective Students are encouraged to contact an Admissions Counselor in order to discuss the programs available and gain support in completing the admissions process.

Goddard Students

Global citizenship is this decade’s imperative. Employers are increasingly searching for people with international experience and cross cultural competency. Employment statistics indicate that language and cross-cultural skills are invaluable assets, and increase ones engagement in the global community and job market.

With this in mind, Goddard College offers students the opportunity to learn a second language in a faster and more effective way through EF’s International Language Centers abroad, which you can build into your semester study plan. EF mission is to break down barriers of culture, language and geography that divide us. Visit EF and Goddard College Language Study Abroad Experience to learn more about these programs.
