School Counseling
Goddard College seeks a faculty advisor with a strong background in theory and practice, and a commitment to progressive, emancipatory, and multicultural education. The Education & Licensure Program seeks dedicated K-12 educators who have in-depth experience with classroom-based action-research and are qualified to teach in the School Counseling endorsement area in the State of Vermont. Goddard College is a pioneer of low-residency graduate programs in Education and holds on-site residency in Plainfield Vermont, with an online-only modality option.
POSITION SUMMARY
Serve as a part-time faculty member in the Education & Licensure Program responsible for attending the semesterly residencies at the college in Plainfield, Vermont, advise students, perform service to the Program and College, and other responsibilities as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and job description.
QUALIFICATIONS
The preferred candidate will have a terminal degree in Education or equivalent terminal degree, a Master’s degree in the appropriate area is minimally required; K-12 teaching experience in the noted endorsement areas, experience in current teacher licensing requirements and curriculum assessment, and knowledge about the Common Core. The preferred candidate will also have a strong working knowledge of current technology as well as superior communication skills.
Compensation:
Compensation varies depending on credit load assigned by the Assistant Academic Dean in collaboration with the Program Faculty.
