Goddard College seeks a Senior Staff Accountant to work in the Business Office. This position is responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing using ADP software; assisting with financial and tax audits; cash receipt deposits; fixed assets; and general ledger entries. The Senior Staff Accountant will support the Chief Business Officer in budget preparation and reconciliation related to payroll and benefits.

Ideal candidates: are highly detail-oriented, well-organized, and are able to manage competing priorities and a constant stream of deadlines; have a proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees; possess strong analytical and accounting skills; have advanced experience with MS Excel, major accounting software packages, and payroll software, such as ADP; and possess a commitment to excellence and professionalism.
An Associate’s degree, BA, MA, or MBA in Business Administration or Accounting preferred; two to four years of relevant experience; excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills; demonstrated ability to meet deadlines; demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel software; and the ability and willingness to learn new accounting and payroll software.
