Admissions Inquiry Counselor
Full Time, Benefit Eligible
Goddard College seeks an Admissions Inquiry Counselor to serve as the first point of contact with prospective students and applicants about pedagogy & program offerings; to represent the college and its academic programs to the public; to support robust enrollment of a diverse and non-traditional student body; and to perform administrative tasks related to the general function of the Admissions office. This position involves considerable online and phone work, interviewing, as well as an understanding of and a commitment to progressive education. Ideal candidates will have a genuine personal commitment to social justice, inclusion, and equity with regard to race, disability, class, religion, national origin, marital/civil union status, age, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, veteran/uniformed service status, disability, and other legally-protected classifications. Additionally, an ability to work a flexible schedule is a must, as the position requires days, some evenings, occasional weekend work, and required travel to recruitment events, including college fairs, conferences, and other special events.

Minimum Qualifications: The requirements for this position include an undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline, along with excellent counseling and interpersonal skills. Successful candidates will be self-starters; energetic; creative; enjoy working in fast-paced environments; demonstrate strong written and oral presentation skills; possess counseling skills; have general knowledge of Goddard academic program content; and a demonstrated understanding of Goddard’s educational philosophy and pedagogical model, in relation to other colleges.
Salary Range: $15.90 to $16.93 per hour
