Writer in the World Podcast EP 3: “The Forest”

Writer in the World Podcast 3

In the third episode of Writer in the World Podcast, author and Goddard faculty Sherri L Smith talks about why writers should take time to express gratitude to trees and be prepared to listen.

Smith teaches fiction, graphic novel, non-fiction, screenplays, and fantasy at the MFA in Writing program at Goddard College. Fellow faculty Rahna Reiko Rizzuto interviews.

Smith recently taught a workshop on Enchantivism, designed to deepen themes of social justice in writing through deep storytelling, mythology, and dreamwork. She speaks about “forest bathing,” a therapeutic practice that began in Japan.

What is your “path” through the forest as a writer, and how do you encourage your seedlings?

Find out what the trees have to say in response in this enchanted episode of The Writer in the World Podcast.

Current Goddard students will have the opportunity to complete their degrees at the same tuition rate through a teach-out with like-minded institution, Prescott College. Updates and scholarship funds will be available in the coming weeks and months. Information will be posted to www.goddard.edu
