Academic Catalog and Student Handbooks
Information about the academic, enrollment, and community life policies and procedures that govern a student’s time while enrolled in Goddard College are available in the Academic Catalog, the Graduate and Undergraduate Student Handbook, the Undergraduate Curriculum Guide, and the program-specific handbook addenda.
- For the general public, the Academic Catalog and the Graduate Student Handbook and Undergraduate Student Handbook are available on the Goddard web site.
- For currently enrolled students, faculty and staff members, the Academic Catalog, the Student Handbooks, the Undergraduate Curriculum Guide and the program-specific handbook addenda are available on GoddardNet, the College’s intranet site.
All documents are available in hard copy upon written request to the Academic Services Office.
FERPA
Personally identifiable information and/or educational records of current and former students are confidential and protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”). FERPA provides students with the right to:
- Inspect and review their educational records maintained by the College.
- Request the College correct records that the student believes are inaccurate or misleading.
- Deny disclosure of personally identifiable information and/or educational records, except as allowed by provisions under FERPA.
- File a complaint with the Department of Education if a student believes the College has not complied with the requirements of FERPA.
Under FERPA, a college may disclose “directory information” without a student’s prior written consent. Students can request in writing and no later than 10 days after the semester begins that this information be withheld. Goddard College designates the following as “directory information”:
- Name
- Address and telephone number (both local and home)
- Email address
- Academic program in which enrolled
- Student enrollment status
- Dates of enrollment
- Area(s) of study concentration
- Previous educational institutions attended
- Degree(s) received and date(s) conferred
- Goddard College identification card photo

Information about the College
The College makes available information about itself including its accreditation and approvals, mission, current faculty and staff, academic programs, retention rates (upon request from the Registrar), and a fair summary of its audited financial statement (upon request from the Business Office, contact the Business Office Director at sherri.molleur@goddard.edu).
Student-Right-to-Know & Campus Security Act
Under the provisions of the Student-Right-To-Know & Campus Security Act, the College is required to compile and release to currently enrolled degree or certificate students and to prospective degree or certificate students upon request the following:
- Information on financial assistance, which is available in the Student Handbooks, the Financial Aid area of the College’s website, and upon request from the Director of Financial Aid.
- The Crime Security component of the Act, also known as the Clery Act, requires Colleges to collect specified information about crimes and security on campus and to publish and distribute three years of data in an annual security report to current and prospective students/employees. The College’s annual crime report is available on the College's Emergency Resources page or upon request from the Dean of Planning and Community Life.
- Information on the College's graduation rate for full-time, degree or
certificate-seeking students. Goddard College strives to recruit and admit students who will thrive and succeed in our academic programs. The goal of the Admissions Office is to work with prospective students closely and provide them with information to assist them in making an informed enrollment decision. Graduation and retention rates are a good measure of student satisfaction and success and Goddard is fortunate to enjoy above-average graduation and retention rates. Graduate students, which make up two-thirds of college enrollment, graduate at a rate of 84% and remain enrolled from first year to second year at a rate of 86%. Undergraduate students graduate at a rate of 66% and remain enrollment from initial enrollment to second year at a rate of 68%.
