BA and MA in Education and Licensure Programs
Patricia Younce lives in Oxford, Ohio where she has taught high school art for an on-line K12 school in that state for the past six years. She holds an undergraduate Degree in art from the College of Mount St Joseph in Ohio, her Masters of art education from the Rhode Island School of Design, and further art education graduate study at the University of Cincinnati. She has studied figure work at the Art Students League in NY and believes that all art teachers must work from their inside out to reach students. In other words, a teacher must know herself, not be afraid to explore what is inside, and to take those feelings to a canvas or other medium. To help Patricia along the way, she has practiced yoga for 20 years and after having children she attended the University of Michigan, completed an MSW, and began to integrate art and therapy in work with women. Several years ago, Patricia discovered Goddard College and knew that her study there could help connect her to her teaching and her art in personal yet professionally directed ways. She is very happy to return to help other students find the same centering that she felt at Goddard.
