Richard Hugo House, 1634 11th Ave.
Seattle, WA

Students and alumni of the Goddard College MFA in Creative Writing program present the fifth in a series of literary events. Join us for an evening of literature and friendship with live readings of fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and dramatic writing by students and alumni.

Featured Reader: Robert Lashley
Robert Lashley has been called "The Sweetest Scary Ass Brother You Will Ever Know". A semifinalist for the PEN/Rosenthal fellowship, Lashley often performs at Northwest poetry venues and has helped Bellingham, where he lives, develop one of the nation's finest open mic scenes. He does not, however, drink the blood of frat boys and rappers from Mercer Island (no matter what anybody in Tacoma tells you.). He has had poems published in such journals as Feminete, No Regrets, and Your Hands, Your Mouth. His full length book, Songs My City Taught Me, was published by Radical Lunchbox Press in 2009.

An event for all ages and open to the public. There will be a cash bar. Admission is free.

There will be a merch table set up where authors may sling their wares.

Parking is available at Hugo House. Street parking is free around Cal Anderson Park after 6pm.

We will be accepting additional readers on a first-come basis.  Sign-up begins May 1st. We have room for nine readers: each reader will have 10 minutes. Please prepare accordingly.
