MA in Psychology and Counseling Program
I have an M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University and an MA in Judaic Studies from Brandeis University. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I was a member of the Women's Mental Health Collective in Somerville, Massachusetts for 14 years. This group pioneered research and clinical practice in the psychology of women and sexual abuse. I have done psychotherapy with a wide variety of adult men and women and have taught psychology to adults since 1983. My research interests include minority adolescent development, including developmental issues of Jewish teens, mothering, chemical dependence and women in prison. I have published personal essays and professional articles in Women and Therapy, The Women's Review of Books, and other feminist journals and edited volumes.
