Lourdes Institute of Wholistic Studies in Partnership with the Health Arts and Sciences Program

The Health Arts & Sciences program is affiliated with the Lourdes Institute of Wholistic Studies (LIWS), a division of the Lourdes Health System.

Lourdes Institute of Wholistic Studies, for Goddard bound students, consists of up to 1100 hours of engaged study, ranging from six-month certification courses to a two year Associates Degree in Applied Science in Massage Therapy. The LIWS degree and certificate programs include:

• Associates Degree in Applied Sciences in Massage Therapy
• Massage Therapy Certificate of Achievement
• Wholistic Massage Practitioner Certificate
• Reflexology
• Shiatsu
• Yoga Teacher Training 200-hour Certificate
• Yoga Teacher Training 500-hour Certificate
• Wholistic Living
• Complementary Therapies

Undergraduate level students who have successfully completed one of the programs offered at LIWS may be eligible for a reduced period of study to earn their Bachelor of Arts degree in the Goddard low-residency Health Arts & Sciences program.  The LIWS transcript will be evaluated through a Health Arts & Sciences transfer credit policy to evaluate the number of possible transfer credits available. If possible, LIWS students are asked to declare their intent to attend the Health Arts & Sciences program half way through their LIWS program to better prepare for their eventual studies at Goddard.

In addition, Lourdes Institute students who previously enrolled in Camden County Community College to complete their Associate’s degree will be able to transfer to the Goddard Health Arts & Sciences program. More specifically, graduates of the Lourdes Institute of Wholistic Studies/Camden County Community College Massage Therapy Associates in Applied Sciences Program, who have completed 60 transferable credits in their Associates degree in Applied Sciences, will be accepted into Goddard’s Health Arts & Sciences Bachelors degree program.
