MA in Health Arts and SciencesBirchTree Center AffliationThe Health Arts and Sciences Program: Bridging Nature, Culture, and Healing offers a special learning partnership for nurses who wish to attain a Bachelor or Master of Arts degree. In affiliation with the BirchTree Center for Healthcare Transformation’s Integrative Healing Arts Program™, Goddard College offers students who successfully complete BirchTree's Integrative Healing Arts Program™(IHAP) eligibility for a reduced period of study to earn their Bachelor or Master of Arts degree through the low-residency Health Arts and Sciences program.
After successful completion of the IHAP program, BirchTree Center students receive a certificate in holistic nursing from the BirchTree Center for Healthcare Transformation. At the graduate level, applicants to Goddard's low residency MA in Health Arts and Sciences Program may be eligible for a three semester (36-credit) Masters degree track, instead of the usual four semester Masters degree track. A Master of Arts degree with a focus in integrative and holistic health, in combination with professional nursing experience (and for those who choose, Board Certification as a holistic nurse), enables professional nurses to gain greater rank in most institutions or communities where they work.
