Time: 7-9 pm
Location: YWCA Cambridge - Silvia Room, 7 Temple Street, Cambridge, MA 02139
Join others who are curious about Goddard College's low-residency BA, BFA, MA and MFA degree programs.
Goddard College provides a way to finish your undergraduate or graduate degree and live your life at the same time; whether you prefer to study psychology, work to promote the environment, or become a better writer, Goddard can become part of your journey.
At this event, you will have an opportunity to learn about Goddard College, hear from individual faculty members, students and alumni about their studies or their own art practice, writings, research or travels, and then participate in break-out sessions by Program. But don't worry: if you're interested in more than one program, you can move between groups!
Goddard faculty and staff at the event:
Steve James, Program Director, MA in Psychology and Counseling
Dr. Steven James is co-author of a groundbreaking study of gay and lesbian foster parents and is President Emeritus of the American Psychological Association's Division of Ethnic Minority Issues. Dr. James will describe the value of student-centered learning models in counselor education, using the examples of recent Goddard graduates.
Bob Buchanan, Program Director, BA in Individualized Studies
Bob Buchanan directs the Individualized Bachelor of Arts program and has been past Director of the Individualized MA program. He is a historian and writer. He'll share some stories that illustrate the exciting and innovative work forged by Goddard students and their advisors and also speak about the new BA in Sustainability.
Sue Fleming, Program Director, BA and MA Education and Licensure
Heather Bryce, Admissions Counselor
Heather Bryce will speak to prospective students interested in the BFA in Creative Writing, MFA in Creative Writing, MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts, BA in Health Arts & Sciences, MA in Health Arts & Sciences, MA in Individualized Studies, and MA and Certificate in Sustainable Business & Communities.
