Goddard Art GalleryGoddard College maintains a permanent art collection in the Goddard Art Gallery at the Pratt Center in Plainfield. Currently, the Gallery primarily displays works of American art across a diversity of media including oil paintings, sketches, paper collage, embroidered and painted fabric, block prints and photographs. Notable works include a collage and photographs documenting Vermont-based Bread & Puppet's influence on street theatre and political protest; Harper's Weekly engravings from the 1860s and 1870s; and several plaster sculptures by Sir Jacob Epstein.
The collection was developed and is maintained within thoughtful and professional guidelines for a college art collection. The heart of the collection contains works of art created by alumni and donated by friends of the college. Donations of significant art made by current and past students, faculty, Trustees and friends of Goddard College are welcome.
Please contact Hillary Montgomery, Associate Director of Development at hillary.montgomery@goddard.edu or 802-322-1685, to inquire about donating a work of art. To learn more about Goddard's gift acceptance policy, please visit the Goddard College Gift Acceptance Policy page. |
